This past weekend, Garden of Eden and the community came together for a truly unforgettable afternoon at our fundraising lunch. Held in the beautiful Exeter Mosque, the event was a vibrant gathering filled with delicious food, meaningful conversations, and, most importantly, a shared passion for funding the purpose build Muslim burial site in the Southwest. Thanks to your incredible support, we were able to raise awareness and start gathering funds for our mission.

Special Guests and Memorable Moments

We were honoured to welcome several distinguished guests at our fundraising lunch, including Mohamed Omer MBE, External Affairs Lead for the Garden of Peace Cemetery in London and Chairman of the National Burial Council; Karime Hassan MBE, the former CEO of Exeter City Council; and Imam Kawsar Ahmed from the Exeter Mosque & Cultural Centre. Each of these esteemed individuals offered their heartfelt support for the Garden of Eden’s vision and mission. They spoke passionately about the importance of establishing the first purpose-built Muslim burial site in the Southwest, highlighting its significance for fostering inclusivity, honouring cultural and religious needs, and providing dignity in death for all. Their words resonated deeply with our guests, underscoring the necessity of creating a lasting legacy for generations to come. We are incredibly grateful for their encouragement and advocacy.
